Finance: the monthly cycle
The “Month” screen is a deadline checklist that fills itself in.
Stage 2 · Finance · In development

The steps
| When | Step | What GambIX does |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Draft invoices for last month | Retainers (e.g. 01.09–30.09) and hourly work (hours × rate). One-off items come from the contract when ready. |
| by the 10th | Invoices issued and sent | Hands them to the program you issue in, collects the PDFs and emails the client. |
| by the 10th | Salaries and rent | Recurring payments the firm defines: day, amount, whether variable. Marks them when they show up in the bank. |
| by the 10th | The accountant’s pack | Reconciles the bank with invoices, flags expenses without an invoice and issued invoices without a payment. When complete it uploads the pack to Drive and emails it. |
| 14th | Taxes: returns and VAT | The accountant files them, you pay on the tax portal. GambIX reminds you and asks “paid?”. |
| 25th | Social security and more | A reminder for social security and other recurring payments. |
Deadlines such as “by the 10th” are examples. The firm sets its own days for every step.
The other tabs
- Documents: the inbox, see Documents and bank.
- Bank: the movements and what they are matched to.
- Who owes: unpaid invoices by client and days overdue.
- Contracts: see Contracts.
- Personal: a separate cash book outside the firm’s accounts. Only the owner sees it and it never goes into the accountant’s pack.
Profit
Profit by client and by service: revenue against the hours worked. Margin = profit / revenue.
